Wild plant leaves. Packaging: 100g.

Jiaogulan is an herbal tea made from the dried leaves of the plant, with an interesting sweet taste reminiscent of ginseng. It is also called the Chinese immortality herb, as locals in China who regularly drank jiaogulan tea were known for their very long lives, living for a hundred years or more. Although not botanically related to ginseng, it contains similar active ingredients and is also called ‘southern ginseng’.

It is classified as an adaptogenic plant, that is, herbs that help our body to balance itself. It contributes to a better general well-being. Chinese people drink it every day before work to increase their endurance and strength, and after work to relieve fatigue and promote good sleep.

The tea will be most effective if you pour a small teaspoon of dried leaves into a cup of 2 dcl of hot water, which is between 80-90 degrees Celsius. Let the jiaogulan steep in the water for about 2 minutes. It can also be used as an iced tea, which will give you extra energy for work. The recommended daily amount is to drink a maximum of one liter of tea per day. The tea does not contain caffeine, but it is not recommended for pregnant women and small children.
The healing effects of real teas and herbs have been known in traditional medicine for millennia. Unfortunately, the European Parliament has adopted Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006, which prohibits health claims on food. However, we leave it to each individual to obtain information about the medicinal effects of jiaogulan tea.
